Cascadia Weddings

Weddings??
Sometimes people forget I shoot weddings. Or they're surprised perhaps. But I do, and I'm a damn fine wedding photographer at that. No, I swear I won't plug all the 'awards' I've won and 'magazines' I've been in - because while I've been on the covers of international dance magazines I've never submitted a wedding photo to a publication (I don't even post them on social media, they're private events in my opinion.) But indeed, I am a wedding photographer, I've photographed somewhere around 80ish so far in my career; I usually shoot around 20 a year.
My photography career actually started as a wedding photographer, and while I'm known now for the dance portraits I do, it's still something I continue to shoot and enjoy shooting. Personally, I consider myself a journalist first and foremost, I tell stories through photographs - how events unfold, the energy and emotions, the tiny little connections that happen in the blink of an eye - this is what I do, and do it well, which is why I am an amazing wedding photographer. I don't orchestrate, I don't pull you aside from the party or intervene for a photo, there's no staging or anything like that. Just pure journalistic photography focused on documenting your wedding just as it happens.
Sooo.. what's included?
I don't have packages, I don't make albums (you can make your own for a fraction of the cost!) I don't do time limits or tiers or any of that nonsense that permeates the wedding industry.
What is included is: 1 wonderful photographer (me!) who photographs all day (12hrsish) an online portal to view and download your photos, buy prints if you're so inclined, as well as share it with friends and family.
Engagement session? Sure, why not. Being photographed is weird, and engagement sessions are a great way to break that weirdness. Take me somewhere interesting, I'm all about adventures. *note this has to be shot on a weekday*
Price: $1600
Need another photographer? $300 and I'll bring a minion that will photograph alongside me. Do I NEED this minion? Hell no, unless you have a huge wedding, and or a large venue that makes it difficult for me to document from one place to the next without passing out from exhaustion. They're good for documenting "the other side" of the venue, ceremony etc. Nice to have, but not a necessity, I photograph about half of my weddings by myself.
Same Sex Marriages:
Yeah, I photograph them, and enjoy doing so. If you have an issue with your photographer doing this, seeing images of such events, etc, then... I might not be the right artist for you.
If you want to know more, we should meet up!
Unless you're out of state, I require an in person meeting before ever agreeing to and signing a contract for wedding photography. I might not like you. Or, I mean, you might not like me. We might not like each other. And who doesn't like coffee? Besides, seeing actual prints is important too!
